The changes that delight me include:
Just how fast this became available online!!!
DirecTV, I had to enter “Pioneer Day Concert with Lindsey” and look at the time durations. The DirecTV does not save.
TubeBox (YouTube) download for viewing by separate pieces:
Why I am enjoying the increased web presence:
2. Improving web access
FaceBook: Mormon Tabernacle Choir
There are two Twitter accounts.
Twitter being kept current: Mormon Tab. Choir
(Twitter Not being updated is Mormon Tabernacle Choir)
YouTube: Mormon Tabernacle Choir
‘”Since the choir first started broadcasting in 1929, it has always used the latest tools available to communicate with its audience. Using social media is just a natural fit to connect with our fans around the world,” Green said. “The music of the choir and orchestra reaches all generations, so we have to make sure our communication does too.”
The choir now has its own pages on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter and plans to expand to other social media platforms in the near future. This allows the musicians to share their talents with new fans like 18-year-old Rosalyn Ransaw from Columbus, Ohio.’
3. Excellent web pages
Online access page schedule immediately helped me program DurecTV to Vito programs.
Music pages had Fathers Day broadcast I immediately enjoyed that was a half hour!
3. Improving access via social media searches
My YouTube searches are finding more content. Was under Video on the Tabernacle Choir page, now easier to find.
4. More music, placed online faster.
YouTube’s Search Options set to Upload Date, Anytime, All.
5. More personable, interview during their tour which talks about YouTube accesses
The choir member’s couple from Milwaukee immediately after their concert that day.
6. More longer broadcast
YouTube’s Search Options set to “Long (>20 Minutes)”.
Example, search for “cd Mormon tabernacle choir”.
7. Outreach to online younger audience
‘This allows the musicians to share their talents with new fans like 18-year-old Rosalyn Ransaw from Columbus, Ohio.
“This was my first time seeing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and my experience was just so much fun,” Ransaw said. “I was just so amazed, they were so talented and the orchestra was incredible. I was expecting it to be kind of boring, I guess, kind of more like an opera almost, but I was surprised in a good way. I would definitely see the choir again!”’
