Doing your genealogy and don’t know how to pronounce a name; yes, there is a website for that:
1. If you know the origin language:
Example, Going from English to Japanese:
Listen to the pronunciation in both a male and a female voice (I have found that if you change both voices it works best.)
2. If you don’t know the origin:
I submitted the pronunciation of my family name using my iPhone by recording an MP3, pointed out a piece of paper with the family name on it, saying our name several times. Submitted waiting to see if its accepted. I used the representation of my name that I created when I was freshman at BYU and went to the social where we drew our names as pictures.
