I enjoy taking a scripture – where I am especially thankful to its author – and tracing it to links from LDS.org to other author’s content, with my thankfulness for them, also.
LDS Scripture of the Day: FEBRUARY 23, 2016
2 Nephi 2:28
…I would that ye should look to the great Mediator, and hearken unto his great commandments; and be faithful unto his words, and choose eternal life, according to the will of his Holy Spirit;
I like to try to figure out who is speaking to whom. I have found I remember the scriptures the more personal I try to picture what is happening.
I like to pray that Heaven Father (in Jesus Name) will let them know I am thankful for them, supportive to them as our Father knows that I will be praying in their support – later – asking for their support – earlier -!as they live their lives and have their earthly trials and triumphs. In Junior High as I studied our Father and came to see His power in seeing the past, present and future; that at least they will eventually see I tried to pray in a timely manner in support of them, maybe both.
D&C 130:7 “But they reside in the presence of God, on a globe like a sea of glass and fire, where all things for their glory are manifest, past, present, and future, and are continually before the Lord.”.
If I’m right: Nephi is the author, recording what he taught his son Jacob, including what Lehi taught him and his brothers (14 “And now, my sons, I speak unto you these things for your profit and learning; “):
