From my experience, I gave the students the following and put up this pyramid. Then present a topic and walk up the pyramid, pointing; then ask questions and point at the answers level, then point at a level and ask a question. Another interesting use is to track topic through the levels.

Comprehension (Understanding the material) understand, show, summarize, explain, describe, demonstrate, review, cite, restate, locate
