My testimony of Christ in part come from my experience by personally following the process in Moroni 10:3 then 4 & 5.
When I learned to read (Wyoming failed trying to teach me sight-reading, I taught myself phonics between 5th and 6th using a WWII military record), I memorized the red text in my Bible, gaining my dedication to Christ; the Book of Mormon makes that easier.

I use the Blue Letter Bible app for Hebrew. I look for Bible links from the Book of Mormon and then use the Blue Letter Bible, especially for the Joseph Smith translation differences.
How Joseph Smith Translated the Book of Mormon: Evidence from the Original Manuscript
Royal Skousen
Journal of Book of Mormon Studies 7/1 (1998): 22–31. 1065-9366 (print), 2168-3158 (online)
Details of the translation process Joseph Smith used
for translating the Book of Mormon from the plates
can be adduced from statements of witnesses and from evidence in the original and printer’s manuscripts. According to witnesses, Joseph Smith often translated without the plates being present and used the inter- preters to receive the revealed text. Evidence from the manuscripts themselves shows that the original manu- script was written from dictation, that Joseph Smith was working with at least twenty words at a time, that Joseph Smith could see the spelling of names, that the scribe repeated the text to Joseph Smith, and that the word chapter and the corresponding chapter numbers were not part of the revealed text. The manuscripts and text show that Joseph Smith apparently received the translation word for word and letter for letter, in what is known as “tight control.”
